Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was able to win three fights in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first five minutes. Then, she returned to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her loss in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill as she managed to finish her in the third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy by using TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina with her ground and pound tactics, resulting in the TKO 2nd round win. Her dominance continued and she scored a more impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was her first fight that she had in any major role. Ladd's win was a majority victory, as well as she was awarded the Fight of the Night award was awarded to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her most recent fight with the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. It was a loss by majority decision.
